From April 25 to 27, 2025, Japan individual track and field championships were held at Lemon Gas Stadium Hiratsuka in Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Sayuka Tanimoto (Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, 2nd year, Master's course) of the track and field team won the the championship in the women's triple jump, and Keigo Mizuochi (Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies, 2nd year, Master's course) placed 8th in the men's javelin throw. Both are students of the track and field club, Kanazawa University.
Tanimoto and Mizuochi are scheduled to compete in the Emperor's Cup 94th Japan Student Athletics Varsity Championships, which will be held from June 5, and we look forward to their further success.
